During the last year HTC has had its ass kicked by Apple and Samsung. The once king of Android has fallen by the wayside as Samsung has taken Android devices to the next level; but HTC is making its grand comeback with the HTC One, a device so good that it could already be giving the boys at Samsung sleepless nights.
Simply put, the HTC One ($TBA) looks the part, managing to fall somewhere between Apple’s iPhone 5 and Blackberry’s Z10 in terms of design. This is a well-built slate too, with a machine built aluminum back plate and nothing but the finest of components hidden within. HTC has put two front facing stereo speakers on the front of the HTC One, these speakers have a dedicated amplifier and are likely to give just about the best audio on any smartphone.
Other key features are a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display, a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 600, and 2GB of Ram. If the 4-megapixels on the camera seems a little low when compared to rival devices, you can rest assured that the snapper on the HTC One is very good despite is lack of pixels. HTC says the cam will allow 300% more light than an ordinary lens, so do not be fooled by the MP size.
