Yamaha Virago Scrambler by Greg Hageman 2

Ever since he was a kid, Greg Hageman had one thing on his mind – riding and fixing motorcycles. He pursued this passion, and went on to become one of the most acclaimed custom builders in the world, now producing show-quality bikes, just like this handsome Yamaha Virago Scrambler.

Built for a costumer who wanted a classic scrambler that would perform well and would be super reliable, the bike has a 1982 Yamaha XV920 frame, but the running gear is taken form a 1998 XV1100 model. The result is a classic-looking machine with modern reliability, provided by an overhauled engine and suspension, a sleek exhaust system made in-house with Cone Engineering “Quiet core” mufflers, a single drilled disc rotor up front, Yamaha drum at the rear, and Kenda dual sports tires covering the excel alloy rims. A beautiful Benelli tank, along with shiny fenders (yes, fenders – essential bits that many modern custom bikes lack), and a comfortable seat, complete the clean, utterly practical build, which is also said to be “very fun to ride.” [via]
