The Slovenian home appliance manufacturer Gorenje has been combining retro styling with modern technology for over half century. They have recently teamed up with the most unlikely of companions to create this iconic Volkswagen Bulli Minibus Fridge ($TBA).
Hearkening back to the flower-power hippy days of the 1960’s, the Retro VW Refrigerator may take its visual cues from the past, but inside it’s full of modern bits. This free-standing home appliance contains over 9 sq. ft. (260L) of space for food &beverages and uses IonAir & Dynami Cooling food preservation tech to achieve an energy efficiency rating of A+++, the best there is.
In tribute to the classic Campervan, the fridge will be offered in two classic VW colorways of Champagne White over either Baby Blue or Bordeaux with the classic chrome-colored VW logo and trim dominating the front. Available the 2nd Quarter of 2017 in the UK at select retailers. [via]
