Urban Mechanics Honda XR 250 Scrambler

Created as an ode to the 60s trials and scrambler motorcycles, Urban Mechanics’ bulletproof Honda XR 250 is perfect for getting lost on a back road adventure.

Based on a 1999 model, the build – dubbed ‘The Silver Sand’ – has a Hodaka tank which has been painted in Ducati SportClassic yellow with a black stripe across the top. A redesigned subframe with a kicked-up loop replaced the old one, while a pair of chrome fenders were added to match the shiny engine covers.

Complete with a solo perch seat, new wiring and speedo, an LED taillight, a license plate mount that houses the rear turn signals, a small chrome headlight, Mitas trials tires, Tommaselli scrambler bars and Biltwell Inc. grips, this light and fun bike is ready to take on the unbeaten paths.
