Seeking to take the lead in ‘bob-jobs’, Triumph has just released a new Bonneville Bobber ($TBA) they feel can head the pack. This bike’s design started with the iconic T120 and then had all the fluff stripped away to make a lean, minimalist factory machine that still has the custom look.

The power comes from the high-torque Bonneville 1200cc engine with Bobber tuning that features a twin airbox and filter. A liquid cooling system provides better fuel economy and an engine service interval of an impressive 10,000 miles. The exhaust is made to look like a classic 2 in 2 with slash-cut mufflers, but a closer look reveals the catalytic converter box concealed in the bottom of the frame.

In true Bobber style, the rear shock is hidden under the seat, while the soft-tail look is enhanced by a 1940’s-designed smaller rear fender. The newer electronics are concealed to maintain the vintage look. For all this new Triumph Bonneville Bobber keeps the old-time look, it is a thoroughly modern machine right down to its heated grips and cruise control!
