Among the many things that 2016 has gotten us excited about, the new XDiavel motorcycle definitely holds a special place. Updated with a number of cool features, the 2016 Ducati XDiavel is more cruiser-friendly than before and also utterly gorgeous.
Power comes from a new 1,262 cc Testastetta L-Twin engine with Desmodromic Variable Timing. It sports a longer stroke and higher compression ratio, as well as 95 lb-ft of torque available at 5,000 rpm. With the new XDiavel, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has introduced a belt final drive for the first time ever.
The ergonomics have also been improved by adding wide tracker-like bars and extended forward-mounted controls. Also new is the Ducati Power Launch system (DPL) which is activated by simply pushing a button, and which gives the rider the possibility to switch between various levels of intervention.
The frame is a tubular steel trellis one and it is now extra visible due to the fact that the side air intakes and headlight shroud have been removed. Other changes include a modified tail section and rear fender, hidden cooling hoses for a clutter-free design, and rerouted pipes. Standard features are quite generous: the aforementioned DPL, variable riding modes, cruise control, powerful LED lights, cornering ABS, DTC, TFT Dashboard and hands-free communication.
