Tekto has built a reputation for creating some of the toughest and sharpest folders and OTF blades on the market. Now, ten years in, the Maine-based brand has stepped out of its comfort zone to release its first-ever fixed blade design, the X1 Atlas.
The flagship of the line, it features a full-tang construction built to handle everyday cutting tasks or the toughest jobs in the field. Built to deliver dependable performance and durability, it packs a 3.30-inch-long drop-point blade crafted from premium CPM MagnaCut steel. This is high-performance knife steel that offers a great balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance.
The blade features a hollow grind ideal for sharp, precise cutting performance, as well as jimping on the top that helps with cutting, slicing, and other tasks that require a push-down movement. Moreover, X1 Atlas features a 0.47-inch-long skeletonized G10 handle, which helps reduce the knife’s weight to just 3.88 oz (110 g).
The handle design also provides a secure, ergonomic grip for better knife control no matter the task. The construction retains the knife’s structural integrity. It stays strong and rigid even through extended use. This fixed blade is also compact enough for everyday carry, measuring an overall length of 7.70 inches.
Moreover, it comes with Tekto’s standard Kydex sheath for protection during transport. The sheath comes with an adjustable pocket clip that allows vertical or horizontal carry. X1 Atlas is ideal for hunting, camping, hiking, and other demanding field use. Tekto even allows custom blade engraving on the blade. This fixed blade is available in Black, OD Green, and Desert colorways.
