With a superb black pearlescent exterior and soaring black sails, Rox Star appears to be the mere silhouette of a modern pirate’s ship, with a fierce character and an irresistible appeal. It is a gorgeous 39.9-meter (130.9-foot) luxury sailing yacht that successfully merges contemporary styling with traditional Turkish influences.
Oguz Marin Bodrum gave the boat a lot of exterior deck space and then strategically divided that space to create excellent sunbathing, socializing, and sailing areas. The design was executed by K-Architects, Geneva. The cockpit is permanently covered by a fixed roof, making for an excellent place for outdoor relaxation away from the harsh summer rays. There is a large U-shaped seating area, as well as a large dining table for ten here.
The aft sunbathing area is strategically placed near the cockpit to ensure easy communication between the guests who prefer the shade and those who want to bask in the sun. However, this lovely space can also be shaded by a retractable canvas. For quiet moments outdoors, a separate sunbathing area was designed on the opposite side of the yacht, right in front of the deckhouse.
Everything becomes gradually more luxurious as one steps inside, beginning with the gorgeous main saloon and wheelhouse. This vast open area is perfect for hanging out with friends, having drinks at the bar, holding meetings in a relaxed ambiance, or dining. Hardwood finishes and expensive leather details complete the rather masculine design of the yacht, while the space is permanently illuminated by natural light through large windows and skylights.
Accommodation-wise, everything spells elegance and great taste. The full-beam master suite continues the classic dark wood and brown leather theme, while the master bathroom with steam room flaunts grey Italian marble details for an extra touch of luxury. All four guest cabins have large double beds and en-suite bathrooms, and each one pays homage to a famous rock star by having a number of oversized prints of them decorating the walls.
