Most of the time, when companies introduce so-called exclusive products, it’s usually a matter of prohibitive pricing. This means only the insanely wealthy can afford these special releases. There are also other ways to go about it, like how Porsche Design markets the Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Only the owners of the timepiece’s namesake vehicle can purchase it.

This is one way to incentivize people who are about to purchase their next ride. If they do gravitate toward Porsche’s sexy sports car, then perhaps a sleek timekeeping instrument to match it sounds perfect. Similar to optional trims offered by carmakers, the Weissach Package is available for the Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS as well.

The watch clearly goes for a motorsport-inspired motif, but before we get into that, here are some of its specifications. Porsche Design goes for a 42-mm titanium case with two color options. You can get it in the natural shade of the metal or with a black titanium carbide coat.

There are two bezel styles — tachymeter or 60-minute scale – in either of the two aforementioned tones. Personalization continues with the dial as you choose between a matte black finish or genuine carbon fiber. A welcome break from the dark scheme of the Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS comes from the yellow and white elements.

These are visible on the minute track, hour markers, hands, and branding. On the right flank of the case band are two pushers and a knurled crown. Ticking within is a Porsche Design Caliber WERK 01.200 COSC-certified automatic flyback chronograph movement. The Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS wraps around your wrist with a black leather/Race-Tex strap.
