Do you like chunky watches? How about one with a classy look at the same time? YEMA presents the Superman Bronze CMM.10 — a dive watch that’s equally formidable in the water yet always elegant to look at. Moreover, there’s another characteristic that might make it an appealing option. Meanwhile, we feel there’s an artistic sensibility behind it as well.
The French watch manufacturer is offering three versions of the timepiece. Each arrives with a color-matching dial and strap, which is a welcome tonal aesthetic overall. As for what makes the model a fascinating purchase, let’s get into that material makeup of its construction. The 39 mm x 11 mm x 48 mm case is bronze, and we all know what it brings to the table.
As the alloy ages, humidity, skin oils, salts, and natural oxidation eventually form a patina. This cosmetic transition is unique to every example. Thereby, you can say the Superman Bronze CMM.10 eventually becomes a one-off. Furthermore, the combination of brushed finishes and polished chamfers creates a dazzling contrast.
A uni-directional rotating bezel engraved with zero to 60 graduation frames a double-dome sapphire crystal. It covers a glossy lacquered dial with gilt-treated hands, hour markers, and YEMA logo. Next, Grade A Super-LumiNova lume is applied to the indices, hands, and 12 o’clock inverted triangle on the bezel.
Then there is the CMM.10 self-winding movement with a 70-hour power reserve. The in-house automatic caliber boasts precision timekeeping for the hours, minutes, and seconds. Finally, the colorways for the Superman Bronze CMM.10 include brown (Ref. 17.26.10.38.ZN.U8), green (Ref. 17.26.10.34.ZN.U4), and white (Ref. 17.26.10.37.ZN.U7).
