The most exciting thing about the Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter GMT watch is its DNA. Fragments of the actual Apollo 11 spacecraft were ingeniously integrated in the mechanism, and the Moon SilverRJ alloy used for some parts contains actual moon dust particles. Unsurprisingly, only 25 examples of the remarkable timepiece will ever be produced.
Not outrageously unique, but definitely not dull either, the design is quite unique and beautiful. The stainless steel case is 48 mm in diameter, which makes it a statement accessory for men. Underneath the double AR-coated crystal, the gray dial impresses with its contemporary and maybe even slightly futuristic design.
We love the stellar pattern, the red-tipped hands, and the overall geometric architecture of the piece. Inside the case is a Joux-Perret caliber RJ7813L with 45-hour power reserve, 28,800 vph and 38 jewels. It sits comfortably and securely on the wrist with a black alligator strap, and it is water resistant up to 30 meters.
