English luxury jeweler Deakin & Francis have been crafting quality gold & silver cufflinks since 1786. They also like to create equally high-quality novelty shaped cufflinks. Their latest addition to this centuries-old tradition is modeled after a jet turbine engine.
The Deakin & Francis Jet Turbine Engine Cufflinks ($220) are made of aircraft-grade brushed aluminum. The cowling and cone are extremely realistic and adding to this detail are the shaped blades which have been finely crafted to move on micro-bearings so that blowing across them sets the blades to spinning rapidly.
Behind the cowling, these authentically detailed cufflinks have domed oval spring link fittings for a perfect fit and holding power. These intricately detailed pieces are 1/2′ in diameter and about 3/4′ long closed. As part of Deakin & Francis’ Fundamentals collection, the Jet Turbine Engine Cufflinks are also available in polished black rhodium for just a few dollars more.
