Hi-Power Cycles, out of Los Angeles, California have started a ‘Revolution’ to build the ultimate Freeride/DH electric bicycle in the world. Touted as the fastest, most agile, and powerful downhill, the HPC Revolution eBike ($8,700+) is also the lightest!

One mark of the build was that none of the parts used to replace and modify the bike were off-the-shelf stock but rather hand crafted and designed. This includes the hand-built CNC aluminum bottom brackets and the 6061-T6 aluminum frame. The headtube, seat tube, swing arm, and shock mounts were also hand made in the USA.

The Revolution X has a 203mm travel RockShox Boxxer World Cup fork as a standard install. Also standard is the Magura MT7 quad piston performance brake system. The engine has a tremendous 5,000W power surge standard with an optional upgrade to 6,000W available. The basic model travels a 56-mile range at 42 mph or up to 100 miles at 60 mph at the top end of the options, the Revolution S motor.
