For cycling enthusiasts with a soft spot for luxury design, two iconic Italian companies have joined hands to create an outstanding bike using expensive materials and top-notch technologies. Famous for creating excellent and reliable bicycles, De Rosa is an established name in the industry. Together with the automotive design experts over at Pininfarina, the bike manufacturer has come up with a brand new model that stands in a league of its own.
They first introduced the De Rosa SK Pininfarina to the world at the 2015 Eurobike event in Germany. The bicycle weighs only 6.5 kg (14.3 lbs.), boasting a carbon fiber frame developed with a new inner mold tooling technology. Beautifully aerodynamic, it went through serious wind tunnel testing in order to ensure remarkably low drag and impressively high speeds.
The inherent rigidity of carbon fiber was further enhanced by the use of advanced 3D printing technologies. The De Rosa SK Pininfarina successfully merges high performance with beautiful design, paying homage to the two companies that have worked together to bring it to life.
