If you ask anyone what type of footwear they really find unattractive, it’s extremely likely Crocs would come up. Although there are other unflattering items out there, there seems to be a collective derision for these injection-molded foam clogs. Nevertheless, the brand truly knows how to pull off cool collaborations. Although spooky season is practically a little over a month away, you can be ready with the Ghostbusters Classic Clog.
While some of the brand’s recent tie-ins were with popular anime franchises such as Dragon Ball Z and One Piece, it’s great to see the old-school supernatural series get some love. The fact that the original films were followed by a slew of animated TV shows and a few more movies means it’s still a lucrative venture.
It’s evident from the level of detail that Crocs is going the extra mile for the Ghostbusters Classic Clog. Instead of just the usual configuration, the heel straps and a section of the upper feature a synthetic fabric akin to the Nomex flight suits the classic team wears on their missions. Moreover, the pattern also appears on the Croslite material.
Other cool details include the black/yellow hazard stripes on the heel strap, the Ghostbusters logo on the lateral sides, a zipper on the left Nomex strip, and a Velcro attachment point on the right Nomex strip. Another awesome detail is the interchangeable Crocs name tag. The package ships with another four, each with the last names of the original team.
Choose to become Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stanz, or Winston Zeddmore for the day. There are even replica Proton Packs with touch-activated sound effects on the midsoles. The Ghostbusters Classic Clog flaunts glow-in-the-dark ectoplasm toe covers. Lastly, in the box are Jibbitz charms of Slimer and the iconic Muon trap (ghost trap).
