As we’ve hinted at before, the United Arab Emirates is poised to become one of the world’s top destinations for outstanding works of architecture. Given the virtually bottomless coffers backing various projects, extravagance is practically commonplace. The Copper Villa is one of the recently completed blueprints by Jacobsen Arquitetura that supports our point.

This beautiful residence is in the city of Dubai and was turned over to its owner just this year. In addition to the Brazilian firm, the lighting design is by The Flaming Beacon. Elsewhere, Hanazaki Paisagismo is behind the landscaping. Meanwhile, the modern and cozy interiors are by Patricia Urquiola of Studio Urquiola fame.

With such a stellar team in charge of the Copper Villa, the results are spectacular. This dwelling is one of nine in the Sea Mirror Villas on Jumireh Bay Island. Moreover, the property boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. You can say it’s “between the intensity of the city and the quieter atmosphere of a seaside retreat.”

Also, staying true to its name, the color scheme sticks with natural and earthy hues. Furthermore, the materials informing the structure include basalt, granite, marble, wood, and copper. “These materials are intended to age over time, reinforcing the natural transformation of surfaces,” according to the official description.

Showcasing architectural nuances of homes in Brazil, the main method of cooling the volumes is natural ventilation. Aiding the process are high ceilings and seamless transitions between spaces. The Copper Villa ground floor features social areas, the living room, a dining room, an outdoor swimming pool, and a gourmet kitchen. Next, the first floor is where you’ll find a family room and private suites. Lastly, the upper level holds a library, office, and a terrace.
