Blundstone ventured into another outdoor space outside of the trails with the release of its first-ever slip-on sandal. The Aerocork sandal is part of the brand’s new Aerocork Series, which also includes clogs and boots designed for warm weather.
The 156-year-old Australian footwear brand kicked off its spring/summer 2026 collection with the release of the Aerocork Series. The collection centers around a new Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified cork and polyurethane (PU) midsole, as well as a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) outsole.
“This blend keeps the sturdiness of PU and the cork, but with improved cushioning, shock absorption, and durability of PU sole. PU is naturally springy and energy-absorbing, and the Aerocork midsole offers both comfort and support from the very first step,” said Joe Carfora, global range manager of leisure at Blundstone.
The Aerocork sandal uses a memory-molded cushioned blown phylon footbed that provides arch support. It also offers comfort and protection with zero blisters. Apart from the new midsole technology, it also integrates XRD Technology in the heel for supreme shock absorption. It absorbs up to 90% of walking impact.
Meanwhile, an adjustable buckle and elastic taping create a comfortable and adaptable fit. The sandal also features water-resistant Nubuck leather straps and an antibacterial microfiber top liner. The liner provides underfoot comfort, wicks moisture, and controls odor.
The Aerocork sandal requires no break-in for instant utility straight out of the box. It instantly molds to the feet and feels comfortable from the first step. It is available in three models: #2693, #2694, and #2699, each available in Sand, Rustic Black, and Rustic Brown colorways.
