Autodromo founder Bradley Price trusts that his products should blend modern, minimalist aesthetics with vintage character for discerning individuals. One example of this fine balance shows in the design of the new Autodromo Monoposto Chronograph ($1,800).

Designed to exemplify the basics of Grand Prix racing, this largely-faced watch has three smaller dials reminiscent of the basic dials of the classic one-seat Grand Prix racers of the mid-twentieth century. The sapphire crystal also sports a “red line” like mechanics would tape racer dials to prevent over revving.

The original Limited Edition Monoposto watch was released in 2012 and quickly achieved cult status. This new iteration differs in that it’s the first automatic movement Autodromo has made. A limited edition of 200 black dials, 200 silver dials, and 100 in Azzurro, this sleek timepiece will surely speed onto lucky wrists even faster than the first.
