When you’re out on the road for days and want your gear and bike securely out of sight, the Atacama Expedition Tent ($499,00) can be the perfect shelter.
Designed to hold 3 people – with a sleeping area of 54 ft2, this ample tent features a motorcycle bay (100 x 38in) that can accommodate a full-size adventure tourer with panniers, or any large bike the size of a Harley Ultra Classic. Annexed into the sleeping bay there is a 58 ft2 vestibule area, for putting down gear/boots/helmets, which enables each camper to use a separate door when entering and exiting the tent. A mesh panel in the large vestibule door increases airflow and offers protection from bugs. Weighing only 13 lbs. when packed, and a size of just 21” x 9” – tent, poles and pegs all in – this is a very functional piece of gear.
With a peak height of 77in (195 cm) and just enough room to spare, the Atacama Expedition Tent allows you to stand up, providing plenty of space to work on the bike, and the simple 3 pole construction ensures easy setup and takedown.
Crafted by Redverz Gear, a family owned and run company based in Denver- Colorado, the Atacama Expedition Tent is expected to be released on the market by the end of Dec 2014, just in time for Christmas. via
