If you are open to suggestions, Angel’s Envy presents a special spirit to celebrate the good times with family and friends. The distillery tells us only 36,000 bottles of this limited-edition straight rye whiskey are due for domestic distribution on October 9, 2026. It’s unclear if there are allocations for international markets, but let’s hope a few are.
In charge of the Cellar Collection Volume 6 is the label’s Master Distiller Owen Martin. If regular American whiskey feels too mundane to serve for special occassions, the upcoming expression might be a pleasant surprise. Highlighting this fresh release is the two-part finishing process that imparts a distinct set of tasting notes.
For staters, the recipes calls on a mix of 8-year-old to 11-year-old straight rye whiskey. Angel’s Envy did not specify the exact volume of each batch, but one undergoes aging in peach brandy barrels for 15 to 23 months. Elsewhere, the remaining portion spends six months to a year in toasted oak barrels.
The Cellar Collection Volume 6 exudes aromas of baking spice, ripe stone fruit, oak, and vanilla. Meanwhile, a sip reveals notes of caramel, peach, rye spice, toasted oak, and cinnamon. Lastly, the drink leads “to a long, warming finish layered with lingering oak and orchard fruit.”
