Oktoberfest is coming soon and all eyes, or at least beer steins, will be turned toward Munich, Germany for the festival. To celebrate the event, the native sportswear manufacturer Adidas has transformed their classic München silhouette low-top sneaker into a Limited Edition footwear specially crafted to withstand the season’s ‘special’ dangers.

The Adidas München Oktoberfest Sneaker ($240) pays homage to Bavaria’s leather pants. The upper is high-quality dark brown leather that is matched with the three stripes in a lighter brown, while the liner is made of soft, terry cloth. Speckled laces and a brightly embroidered heel cap match the traditional Oktoberfest lederhosen, and the word ‘Prost’ (German for ‘cheers’) is positioned above the stripes in gold lettering. For a sneaker made especially for a beer festival, the uppers have been given a DPBR coating that makes them resistant to moisture, most notably spilled beer and vomit!
