Marshall is an awesome brand when it comes to audio equipment with a distinct classic design. Its catalog covers a wide range of products that cater to professional musicians or just the regular music enthusiast. Lately, the company has been pumping out a diverse selection of portable speakers. The latest model to hit store shelves is the Bromley 150.
This beefy bad boy measures 11.42″ x 11.69″ x 8.19″ and clocks in at 13.9 lbs. Hardly the definition of portability, but the built-in handle does help with transport and storage. The whole thing would have been another blacked-out entry in the roster, but this party speaker flaunts brass accents across various sections of the housing.
The contrasting metallic elements appear on the Marshall emblem, Bromley 150 nameplate, dial knobs, and buttons. Since the weather can turn without warning, the device is outdoor-ready with its IP55-rated construction. Inside the robust cabinet is a 6.5″ 40W woofer, a 7.5″ passive radiator, and two 2″ 6W full-range drivers.
Next are a single 90W Class D amplifier for the woofer and two 55W Class D amplifiers for each of the full-range drivers. According to its technical specifications, the frequency range is 42 Hz to 20,000 Hz, while the maximum sound pressure level (SPL) is 97 dB @ 1M. Meanwhile, stereophonic 360-degree sound comes from the front- and rear-facing speaker grilles.
To make your parties even more immersive, Marshall outfits the Bromley 150 with stage lights. There are three presets to choose from that mimic live music performances. Speaking of the latter, pop open the rear cover to access the 2 XLR microphone ports and a 6.35 mm combo jack for guitars and other instruments.
