Lately, we’re gradually warming up to the idea of switching to a projector. Not only are you freeing up floor space, but you are also getting a cinematic experience. So far, the only caveat to carefully consider is visual fidelity when the lights are on. Thankfully, the newer models coming out are now packing higher brightness levels. We recently stumbled upon the XR10 by Hisense — a premium option for any household.
After messing around with a few budget-friendly projectors, we can say that their capabilities are remarkable. For the price you pay, these alternatives to flat-screen TVs can quickly turn any room into a virtual cinema. Grab some popcorn and your favorite beverage for a complete movie theater experience whenever there’s something new to watch.
The XR10 is a 4K triple-laser smart projector “designed and engineered for spaces where brightness, silence, and precision all matter.” Design-wise, we’re getting a retro-futuristic vibe. The use of darker colors and metallic tones allows the unit to seamlessly blend with any type of decor, so as not to mess with the motif.
Next is the 6,000 ANSI lumens generated by the triple-laser system. Although it’s always better to view content in a darkened room, the brightness here allows you to open windows or keep the lights on. Prolonged operation usually generates plenty of heat, which is why Hisense opts for a unique thermal control solution.
Given the advantages of liquid cooling systems, the XR10 incorporates one within its housing. For crisp and clear visuals, the projector uses a 17-element, all-glass lens system. It also benefits from HDR10+ and Dolby Vision enhancements. Hisense has yet to publish the pricing and release date for this model.
