KTM is a household name when it comes to motorcycles. However, you can also count on it when it comes to high-performance automobiles. The only problem with the previous iterations of its four-wheelers were that they were track-only. Finally, the manufacturer is ready to take it to the streets. This is the 2023 X-BOW GT-XR.

This sleek supercar should appeal to interested clients who were originally hesitant due to the limitations. Even the owners of the older models will find this too tempting to ignore. “The KTM X-BOW GT-XR is the closest you can get to a purebred race car in a road-legal vehicle,” notes the Austrian marque.

Taking years of extensive experience on the tracks, they are repackaging it into a machine you can show off in public. Powering this two-seater is a 2.5-liter five-cylinder TFSI from Audi AG. Its mill is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch direct-shift gearbox (DSG) to complete the rear-wheel-drive powertrain.

It can output around 500 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. This allows the X-BOW GT-XR to manage a 0-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 174 mph. There are more components that contribute to its superb handling.

We have a carbon fiber monocoque, high-strength tubular steel rear frame, and Sachs suspension. The 2023 X-BOW GT-XR sits on OZ Racing forged aluminum wheels available in Bronze Matt, Black Gloss, Gold Gloss, Corsa Bright, Star Graphite, and Grigio.

With exceptional aerodynamics like that of a fighter jet, KTM endows the 2023 X-BOW GT-XR with an electric canopy. The carbon frame can supposedly withstand up to six times the weight of the supercar. The composite is likewise on the body and rear wing.
