Making its debut at the Paris Motor Show is Audi’s latest speed monster. Meet the 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, developed from the ground up to be a beastly turn-key race car. With nearly every part of this ride coated in what looks like a mighty clash between matte and chrome, this thing’s a brutish beaut — a perfect look to match its eye-watering innards.

Not only that, but this car also manages to sport an Evo kit. You’ll find updated aerodynamics and a modified look on the front end. Plus, Audi threw in a new splitter for improved downforce and airflow to the rear brakes. Of note is the entirely new bonnet that’s key to keeping the car cool and enhances the durability of the motor while at it.

Looking underneath, you’ll discover a 5.2-liter V10 engine that pushes this ride to a whopping 580 horsepower. Audi wanted to create a race car for gentlemen drivers, apparently. There’s nothing gentle about 580 horsepower, we assure you, but to be fair, it’s not the biggest number we’ve seen. Still pretty darn fast, though.

You have two options if you want to get this car. The first one: You can buy it freshly minted from Audi. Or, if you have an old LMS lying around (bought within the past few years), you can take it to Audi for retrofitting, which will upgrade your ride with specs on par with the 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo. Make sure to check back with Men’s Gear as we learn more.
