Whenever BRABUS gets to work on a new project, the likelihood of the vehicle rolling out of the shop in a snazzy blackout paint job is extremely high. Although murdered-out colorways are its specialty, a new entry defies the norm. It’s a reminder that other hues are also on the table. In the case of the BODO CABRIOLET BEL AIR, it flaunts a coat of SILK STONE.
We initially thought this was an all-white affair, but hints of light gray and a few metallic accents imply otherwise. The German aftermarket tuning group intimately understands the machines it works with. While everybody knows it loves working on a variety of models from Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG, the team is capable of handling anything.
Each BODO CABRIOLET BEL AIR calls on an Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. Following a slew of bespoke customizations, the drop-top is packing a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 paired with a BRABUS valve-controlled sports exhaust unit. The total output is 1,000 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque.
Should you put it to the test, expect this bad boy to zip from zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 224 mph. Another noteworthy upgrade is the carbon fiber-clad chassis. The composite’s impressive strength-to-weight ratio makes it the ideal material for high-performance platforms.
Meanwhile, BRABUS uses a two-tone black and gray Jacquard soft top. Another cool feature is the motorized carbon fiber rear spoiler. Take a quick peek at the cockpit to reveal shell quilting patterns on the plush upholstery. Every BODO CABRIOLET BEL AIR comes with a 2+2 seating arrangement. Finally, the 22″ Monoblock Z-GT Platinum Edition wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.
