Riding is fun and exhilarating but not while you are riding under the heat of the sun in complete gear. You can only go so long before you have to pull over and remove your helmet to cool down. But if you’re wearing an air-conditioned helmet like the Feher ACH-1 then the heat is not a problem.
Steve Feher called his creation as “the world’s first self-contained air-conditioned motorcycle helmet” for a simple reason– it evenly distributes cooled air across the top of your head. How cool you ask? Well, not brain-freeze cool, but only as much as 10-15 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature.
So how does the air-conditioning work? The Feher ACH-1 utilizes its patented Tubular Spacer Fabric in combination with thermoelectric technology, a patented seat cooling system used in cars from Roll Royce and Ferrari, to provide a consistent cooler temperature throughout the entire interior of the helmet. The air-conditioning system works quietly to give you a more comfortable ride even under the summer heat.
Your motorcycle’s battery powers the helmet so it comes with a harness for connection and a quick disconnect cord with a switch.
Aside from its air-conditioning feature, the Feher ACH-1 gives you a clear view of your surroundings with its scratch-resistant and anti-fog shield. The helmet is also portable at just over three pounds and comes with its dedicated bag and backpack. It comes in five colors: gunmetal, pearl white, gloss black, matte black, and silver.
