The tech market is an ever-evolving landscape that can surprise both users and manufacturers. The smart wearable segment of the market has seen both up and downs over the years, but it’s not about to fade into irrelevance just yet. Case in point, Apple just jumpstarted the innovation yet again with the Watch Series 4 and its built-in ECG sensor. Samsung just refreshed its catalog with a rebrand of the Galaxy Watch. Now, Armani Exchange Connected smartwatch chimes in just before 2018 ends.
The fashion marque recently joins the list of designer brands that have tried their hands with wearable technology. Recently, we got a chance to preview some entries such as the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5, and for comparison, the latter sports a bigger case with an avant-garde design, while the former opts for a more conventional look. This makes it easier to pair with different outfits may it be casual or formal.
Sadly, the Armani Exchange Connected smartwatch is not yet equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC. Instead, it still uses the outdated Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. Nevertheless, you still get a capable smart wearable that flaunts a 1.2-inch AMOLED touch display, built-in GPS, an optical heart rate sensor, NFC for Google Pay, and a 300mAh battery.
