Massachusetts native Chuck Gedraitis has been designing and making award-winning custom knives for over 17 years. His primary focus is on folding knives and he uses a variety of steels and handle materials to create his unique custom folders.
An excellent example of one of Chuck’s more straightforward EDC designs is this Custom Medium Puffin Folding Knife. The 3.125″ CPM-154 Stainless Steel reverse Tanto blade has a reinforced tip, a duplex blade grind, and a two-tone acid-washed finish. It features a titanium liner with liner lock and Teflon washers in the pivot assembly. The handle is polished OD Green G10 material with Nichols Raindrop Damascus Bolsters. It has a tip-up, right carry, Orange Peel Zirconium pocket clip and weighs a comfortable 5.3 ounces.
This rounded, ergonomically designed knife does merit the name ‘Puffin’ for its resemblance to the stocky, short-winged seabirds along the northern Atlantic coast Chuck lives beside.
