Building on their very popular Ultra Boost Uncaged silhouette sneaker, adidas has just announced the imminent release of their first-ever laceless performance shoe. The adidas Laceless Ultra Boost ($233) has been designed especially for the casual/lifestyle sneaker market to serve as both a running shoe and an urban walkabout.

The entire upper is formed of adidas’ Primeknit woven sock-like material for that extra bit of support and compression that holds the foot like a second skin. With the removal of laces, the slip-on feature makes for extra ease in mounting. This new iteration of the Ultra Boost still maintains the same heel counter as the previous models along with its foot-soothing full-length midsole. Street contact is made on a Continental rubber outsole. The sneaker is slated for release in Europe on August the 1st with the American release a month later.
