The Dewar’s Exceptional Cask Series is a selection of limited edition, rare & ultra-premium aged whiskeys that have been selected by the company’s Malts Master and Master Blender Stephanie MacLeod. The newest pick to join this elite collection is a 33-Year-Old Craigellachie ($2,300) from their Speyside distillery.
This fine whiskey has been non-chill filtered and does not use caramel coloring. At 46% ABV it has been described as ‘muscular, with sulphury aromas, cereal complexity, and exotic fruits.’ Available in both 700ml & 750 ml bottles, Craigellaiche 33 is being offered exclusively to the travel retail market and its 1,700 bottles will be available first at the World Duty-Free stores in the UK. This rare single malt whiskey will then follow with releases to European airports before being offered in select airports in the Asia Pacific region.
With the Craigellachie range being very popular among connoisseurs, this should prove to be a very sought-after concoction by collectors.
