While fixed blade knives are very common and even uncommon blades require something extra to stand out from the crowd, the Torbé Custom Knives Jangle-Buster ($300) manages to get your attention because of the sheer practicalness of the thing.
Polish master knife maker Maciej Torbé, developed the Jangle-Buster with heavy outdoor use in mind. That’s why the spear point blade is 5 1/2 inches of AISI A2 hardened steel that has been further protected with a matte PVD coating for superior corrosion resistance. The ergonomically designed handle is molded from Mycarta lining material, with the blade being attached via three slotted-type security torx screws. There is even a thermoplastic sheath made of Kydex to compliment the knife’s total 11.2 inches of efficient serviceability.
The Jangle-Buster has no desire to win beauty contests; it is there to perform whatever duties you may require of an outstanding knife throughout the years & maybe even decades of your life. [via]
