While Alchemy Architects are quite busy with more traditional services for personal & commercial projects, renovations, and general design work; they are still best known for their innovative weeHouse prefabricated modular house system. Each dwelling is still custom-built to customer specifications and this weeHouse in Santa Rosa, California is a prime example of how unique and inviting a small, minimalist home can be.

The Sonoma weeHouse is two open-sided boxes set on concrete and surrounded by oak woods. The primary part of this weeHouse is 640 square feet with open kitchen, dining room, and living room with privacy screens for the bedroom and bath. The second box is a slightly smaller 330 square foot guest house which is basically a scaled-down version of the larger.

The 9 foot tall sliding glass walls help provide unparalleled views of the vineyard and parkland scenery leading down to a view of the town of Santa Rosa below. [via]
