Taking a quantum leap forward in SUV design, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery ($50K) is quite possibly the most technologically advanced vehicle on or off the road. A 10″ touchscreen replaces a lot of dashboard buttons and with 612V and nine USB ports, you can power a lot of gadgets. Under the hood you can choose between the 3.0 liter petrol engine producing 340 hp and 332 lb-ft torque or the 3.0 liter diesel at 254 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Both offer 4 wheel drive and an 8 speed automatic transmission.

The optimized suspension and towing system has a capacity of up to 8,201 pounds. The wheel base is 115″, the wheel track is 66.6″ front and rear with a wading depth of 35.4″ and axle clearance of 11.18″.
