Rough Crafts owner Winston Yeh has recently turned his attention to customizing an MV Agusta BRUTALE 800RR into what appears to be a sci-fi dream of otherworldly muscle. Like all of Rough Craft’s creations (check out their awesome Bavarian Fistfighter), the ‘Ballistic Trident’ sports the same carbon fiber finish, body creases, & muscular stance that makes their customs so noteworthy.
Drawing inspiration form the dustbin faired racers from the 1950s, the sleek fairing up front was specially designed so that it could turn with the forks and avoid the usual problem of restricted turns. This piece is made to be quickly removed – in case of extra side-wind issues- and a headlamp installed in mere minutes. To enhance the GP look, Winston created a set of custom 6-spoke, vintage-inspired wheels that sport Beringer brakes with cast iron rotors , while the sleek exhaust has been provided by Hp Corse.
Other top-notch components include an Öhlins fork & shock, Wukawa Industry bronze wheels, Pirelli Diablo race slicks, Motogadget’s LEDs & grips, and a custom tailpiece with a diamond stitched saddle. Finally, the mechanical sculpture is finished in black paint & carbon fiber with gold anodized details. Love it or hate it, the ‘Ballistic Trident’ clearly makes a bold statement! [via]
