The James Brand out of Portland Oregon was created by engineers and adventurers who were more interested in quality and functionality than in flashy looks. They feel that a knife you carry everyday should maintain a minimalist aesthetic while performing flawlessly.
Their latest creation fully embodies their mission statement. The James Folsom Knife ($99) is their first liner-lock blade and also their first made for ambidextrous use. The cutout opening slot makes for easy one-handed operation, while the 2.81″ drop-point style blade is made of tough Carpenter CTS-BD1 stainless steel. The handle is G-10 synthetic with a scale pattern for a solid grip.
The washers are phosphor bronze, the frame is 416 stainless, black-oxide coated, and the mounting clip is reversible & holds the Folsom in a tip up position. There are three color combos to choose from, black & black, bone & black, or Electric Moss & stainless steel. It is balanced for easy sharpening and James guarantees you will be using this knife for many years to come.
