Take a look at the 108M Mega Yacht Concept, close your eyes and imagine it’s 2020, you’re filthy rich and chilling aboard this impressive vessel.
Imagined by highly-awarded firm Hareide Design of Oslo, Norway, this hybrid yacht is powered by Li-ion batteries drawing juice from 300 sq m of solar panels (to reach higher speeds, diesel-electric propulsion comes into play).
Its design is based on a classic 108-meter mono hull, but that’s the only “usual” feature, as the ship is intended “for actively experiencing the beauty of nature and the changing elements.” To that end, there are large openings on both sides, glass panels throughout, an elevated platform, a zen garden surrounding a 20 m pool, and a stern that lets you dip your toes in ocean water (while providing easy access for sharks).
