It’s not the first time we are stunned by the level of craftsmanship displayed by custom bike builder Auto Fabrica. Last year, they’ve revealed the highly-acclaimed Type 6 – a silver beauty with mesmerizing liquid lines; now they’re back with another thrilling machine – the Type 8 Motorcycle.
Based on a Honda CX500, the clean build you see here features the unmodified original frame of the donor bike, now sporting a hand-beaten, elongated aluminum tank that flows smoothly into a perforated leather solo seat. The sleek bodywork is further complimented by a discreet, hand-made rear LED unit, a simplified top triple clamp with a small digital Motogadget speedo, custom stainless steel clip-on bars with integrated switches, and a pop-and-twist gas cap.
Performance tweaks include a rebuilt engine with reconditioned carbs, a beautiful exhaust system hand-bent from 316 stainless steel, Maxton springs up front, Hagon rear shocks, & spoke wheels wearing Shinko rubber. The goal with Type 6 was to “avoid any straight lines” & be “aesthetically pleasing.” From the looks of it, the guys at Auto Fabrica have once again over delivered. via
