After getting its Metcon 1 sneaker banned form Reebok-sponsored CrossFit competitions in 2015 (exclusive sponsorships are a bitch!), Nike is back in force for a second round of fighting, with the launch of the Metcon 2 Training Shoe ($130).
Designed in the same sweet black & red combo as the iconic Air Jordan 1, the new silhouette features multi-functional qualities, making it ideal for CrossFit workouts. The lightweight shoe sports a flat platform with dual-density foam for stability and cushioning, a firm heel, sticky rubber in the toe for improved traction, an interior film that protects against high-heat friction, and Flywire technology for a locked-down fit. Just looking at the Metcon 2 makes us want to start taking gym seriously.
