After three and a half years of making the F12 Berlinetta, the guys in Maranello-Italy are introducing an upgraded and limited edition of the supercar, a street-legal yellow tornado dubbed the Ferrari F12 TdF ($TBA).
To boost the already impressive performance of the previous F12, the new model packs a new 6.3-liter V12, spitting out 769 hp, with a torque of 520 lb-ft. The engine is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that allows for 30% faster upshifts and 40% faster downshifts. The result is a 0-62 time in a ridiculous 2.9 seconds (or 0-124 mph in 7.9 seconds) and a max speed of over 211 mph!
Other improvements include a “Virtual Short Wheelbase” system that sharpens the turns and increases stability, reworked aero panels across the whole car for extra downforce, wider track and larger wheels, and a more aerodynamical bodywork thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber, and the stripped-out cabin. Yes, there’s no glove box or floor mats inside the Ferrari F12 TdF, but who cares about these silly details when you’ve got a mad beast at your command. Only 799 of these babies will be produced at a price unknown yet, but considering the preceding F12 goes for $320,000, you should prepare to sell the yacht.
