Three years have passed since Croatia-based Rimac Automobili impressed the world with the 1,088 hp Concept One supercar. Now, their brainchild company Greyp Bikes has just unveiled what they call “the most advanced high-performance electric bicycle”: the Greyp G12S ($9,500).
Designed to be ridden both on- and off-road, the G12S is an upgraded version of the successful model Greyp G12 which rolled out back in 2013. Faster, more responsive, and packed with new technology, the newborn can reach speeds of up to 43.5 mph, and has a top range of 74.5 miles. The electric motor is installed in the rear wheel hub and generates 12 kW in Power mode, or 250 W in Street mode. An 84 V battery (1,000 charge cycles lifespan) that gets fully juiced-up in just 80 minutes, is placed low in the steel alloy frame to keep the center of gravity close to the ground.
Other notable features include 3 pre-set riding modes, regenerative braking, Shimano four-piston hydraulic calipers on both wheels, adjustable Rockshox suspensions for off-road performance, and a 4.3-inch color touchscreen display with an integrated finger scanner. The Greyp G12S can be personalized in a wide variety of colors, or fitted with optional off-road tires and mudguards. Needless to say, we’d be psyched to take this baby for a test ride. via
