There’s a new member of the Mini family, praised to be the longest and widest Mini so far. But still fast and fun as hell to drive. Enter the 2016 Mini Clubman ($TBA).
With more handsome features and way more practical than the prior model, the new Clubman receives a pair of rear barn-style doors which hold the brand’s iconic oval taillights. The interior has also been upgraded, now the owners will actually have usable rear space, thanks to the larger three seats added in the back as opposed to the previous Clubman’s two. As a consequence of better space distribution, the luggage space has also increased to 17.5 cubic feet (or 47.9 cubic feet with the seats folded flat), making this vehicle quite a spacious Mini.
Naturally, you’ll also find all the technological upgrades you’d expect of the latest vehicle belonging to the BMW Group, as well as top-notch materials, and optional diamond-stitched leather trim. For the US, two models will be available: Cooper with a 1.5 liter Twin Power turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, and the Cooper S boasting a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder. Look out for them in showrooms at the beginning 2016.
