If you are looking for some inspiration when building your luxurious summer residence, check out the Jellyfish House. Located in Marbella, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, this avant-garde mansion features 7000 sq ft of sun-loving room. Most of its façades can be opened and its staircases are mainly outdoor, making the house’s ever shifting boundaries between inside and outside practically invisible.
The pièce de résistance of the whole house is, without a doubt, the infinity-edge rooftop pool which allows for breathtaking views of the Sierra Blanca mountain range and the nearby sea. This pool has a glass-bottom floor and an interior panoramic window that sends ripples of iridescent turquoise reflections, while affording those in the kitchen to voyeuristically view the swimmers. Two sets of stairs intertwine and traverse the house’s four levels of living areas that include 5 bedrooms, 2 terraces, kitchen and living room. Other features include a sauna and steam bath, a small service elevator for sending food&drinks to the rooftop pool and terrace, and top-notch audio-video equipment built into the ceilings and walls. Anyone else thinking ‘ideal bachelor party scene’?
