We’ve covered other BioLite products in the past and it seems, by the large crowd of satisfied campers, that these guys know what they’re doing when it comes to inventing clever outdoor gear. The latest to come out of their lab is dubbed the BioLite BaseCamp Stove ($300) and it can cook 8 burgers at a time, while also charging your gadgets.
Powered by wood, this portable stove is an efficient off-grid cooker and energy provider, making use of every little flame it produces. At the flip of a switch it goes from grilling to boiling, burning very little wood in the process and producing almost no smoke. It features a thermoelectric generator that improves combustion while sending power over to a 5V USB port to charge your devices. There is also an integrated 2200mAh Lithium ion battery that stores energy to use later (even without a fire), a flexible USB pass through light for cooking in the dark, and a smart LED dashboard that monitors your power generation and battery level. And most importantly, with its 138 square inch grill surface, the BioLite BaseCamp Stove is surely capable of making a lot of smores!
