We at MensGear, we’d rather board than walk. The thing we enjoy the most is a barefoot ride from the beach, after a day of surfing. Ah, that liberating feeling! The problem is, however, that most skateboards are covered in the usual black grip tape, that’s not so easy on your feet. Well, we’ve just stumbled upon something different: the GRIPcarve Longboards ($160.00).
Handcrafted right here in the U.S.(North Carolina) by Wood Studio, these boards feature a intricate carved pattern that acts as a gripping base, making them perfect for barefoot cruising. Not only practical and smooth, these carvings also show the solid Red Oak and African Mahogany used for building the boards. The pure wood is lightweight, providing a great flexibility, and it clearly looks awesome! Five different models are available: the Swirl, Sine, Iso, Zag and Wave; all equipped with polished turbo trucks and 60mm cruiser wheels outfitted with smooth ABEC7 bearings. via
