Three years ago, 2 friends set out to design the Z board, the world first weight-sensing electric skateboard. Since then they’ve worked to improve the board in every imaginable way, getting feedback from riders in every US state and over 50 countries in the world. The result is ZBoard 2 ($1,000) – a faster, lighter and with longer riding time electric board.
Driving this fun board is quite easy: lean forward to go at walking speed and lean back to stop. Leaning forward a bit more will make the ZBoard 2 accelerate up to a top speed of 20 miles per hour while leaning back will activate regenerative braking, so you can safely descend hills and recharge the battery at the same time. Featuring a 500W brushless motor and a battery that charges in just 90 minutes, the skateboard also boasts 15 hi-power LED headlights and tail lights with 3 modes – on, off, and blink.
Other cool specs include handles for easy transportation, integrated battery meter, and splash proof electronics. Proudly made in the USA-Northern California, the ZBoard 2 comes in two options: the Blue Edition (16 miles/charge, weighing 16 lbs.) and the Pearl Edition (24 miles/charge, 18 lbs.). We’re thinking to get one for every guy in the office.
