It’s amazing how powerful smartphones have become. But can they compete with our desktop computers, in therms of usability? Well, it seems now they can…
Andronium ($30,00) is a small, light, travel friendly dock that seamlessly turns your Android device into a desktop computer. Simply connect the dock to a TV or monitor, install the Andronium app, and plug your phone into the dock, to get an extremely powerful computer at your fingertips. The Andromium dock features 3 full-sized USB ports for all the accessories you would need on a desktop computer (mouse, keyboard, gaming devices) and it doubles as a charging station, so your phone is always charged. With Andronium you can play games, browse the Internet, do work, edit spreadsheets, create Power Points, and even watch multiple videos- just like on any desktop computer. And your Android apps will continue to work in the background, so you don’t miss any phone-calls and notifications.
Built by Gordon Zhengh – previously a Senior Engineer at Google with over 12 years of software development experience – Andromium is designed to work with Samsung Galaxy, HTC, LG, Motorola Nexus 6, and other phones running on Android 4.4.2 and above. The Andromium Operating System will be available from the Google Play Store, and Kickstarter backers will receive a serial key to activate the OS, along with their dock.
