When we think of Magnum we think of three very manly things. Firstly there is the mighty magnum handgun, and then those of a certain vintage will think of Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry and Tom Selleck as Magnum PI. There is now a new product brandishing the Magnum name and waiting join that roll call of masculine cool.
The Magnum MK5 is a new supercar from… Canada! Okay, we get it, Canada is not known for its automotive prowess but we are willing to give the fantastic looking MK5 a chance. The car has been designed from the ground up to be a race track monster, but it is also perfectly legal as a road car. The Magnum MK5 only sports a modest 250 horsepower engine, but when that is coupled with the extra low weight (1,200 pounds) then this car is good for 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. This two door track roadster will arrive next year and cost a cool $139,000.
We just remembered that Magnum is also the name of an ice cream… cool.
