This truly inspiring residence is located in Armadale, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and is a clash of old versus new. Luckily this is no epic battle of styles as Jackson Clements Burrows has done a great job in creating a house that blends seamlessly from old fashioned charm to contemporary luxury and high end concepts.
The Armandale House is an early Victorian residence that has been renovated into a stunningly modern property that breathes new life into old designs. Throughout the house you will see splashes of old influence, but this is definitely a modern build, one that bleeds excellence from every nook. It goes without saying that this house is perfect for those who want something with character on the outside, but modern usage on the inside.
That Victorian façade is the face of the Armandale House but it does not define it. Step behind the curtain so to speak and you will find a completely new and contemporary extension, decking area, and swimming pool. We love how the rooms are so utterly new and fresh yet still retain little details that one might have found in a Victorian mansion, such as panelled walls and block wood flooring. The overall result is staggering.
