Sometimes biking is just about looking cool and not laying down exocet like power onto the road. One of the great things about motorcycles in our eyes is the fact that even the most basic models can be turned into something spectacular, and we have found a perfect example to highlight this in the shape of the Suzuki Thunder 125 custom.
The normal Suzuki Thunder 125 is a city bike that is a big seller in Asian countries such as Indonesia, where the average daily wage is $2. Because of the economic situation of most people, cheap run around bikes from the likes of Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki are commonplace. The Suzuki Thunder is marketed as a “real man’s bike” but it is anything but as it is actually a little chaser that is bland and fairly forgettable.
However, the Suzuki Thunder 125 is perfect for customization and pimping out this little cycle could set you apart from the crowd. The guys at Katros Garage have seen the potential of the Thunder and the new “Momentum” custom job is the 26th build to leave their workshop in the heart of Jakarta. The design has been created to look like a classic street racer and this piece is just crawling with attention to detail.
The tank has been cleaned to a raw-finish while the seat and grips have been upholstered with fine tanned leather. The custom headlight with gold colourings sits on a newly designed higher handlebar and Katros has added aluminum fenders. The wheels have been replaced with sexy spoke rims while the engine has been left as stock but has been tuned.
We think this looks hugely desirable and would be the perfect unique way to traverse a city from day to day.
